Lisa Hedien, B.Sc. (hons) P.T. graduated in 1998 from Physical Therapy in Aberdeen, Scotland at Robert Gordon University. She has over 22 years of diversified experience in Physical Therapy. During her career she has worked within sports organizations and participated in multidisciplinary sports medical teams.
Elizabeth, PT, DPT is a physical therapist that grew up in Southern California. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of San Francisco and Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Mount Saint Mary’s University, Los Angeles. She then went on to complete a year-long Orthopedic residency through Kaiser Permanente where she deepened her understanding of movement patterns and refined her manual skills to better provide care to her patients. She is also a certified Pilates instructor, trained through Balanced Body. In her free time, she enjoys practicing yoga, Pilates, and running.
Rachel Atkinson is an Aide at Core Objectives. Currently she is a student at California State University Northridge pursuing a degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Exercise Science. She grew up in Torrance and went to West High. Growing up she played sports and has a couple of injuries which lead her to go through physical therapy.
This is when she realized that physical therapy was a career she wanted to pursue. During her free time, you can find her at the beach, hiking, or hanging out with her friends and family. In the future Rachel wants to be a physical therapist, so that she can help people with injuries and be able to help them return to normal activities.
Lucia is an Aide at Core Objectives. She grew up in Northern California, but moved to LA area to attend Long Beach State. She completed her undergraduate studies in Kinesiology with emphasis in sports psychology.
She loves being active, and she became interested in physical therapy because of it's incredible potential to help people trat pain with movement, ultimately living a happier and healthier day to day life. She plans to apply to physical therapy in the near future. Lucia is a lover of all things outdoors, and animals. In her free time, you will probably find her at the gym, studying, or taking a walk on the beach.
Ilene Avalos is an Aide at Core Objectives. Currently she is a student at California State University Long Beach pursuing a degree in Kinesiology option Exercise Science. Within the next year she plans to apply to graduate school, specifically to get her Doctorate in Physical Therapy.
She has always found that her life goals often intertwine with her passions and commitments, which include the chance to help and guide others to the best of her ability. She loves being an advocate for movement/exercise as she believes it is the best medicine for everyone during any movement of their life. In her free time, she likes to run, do yoga, and hike.
Donna has been part of the Core team since 2018. She thoroughly enjoys greeting you, making appointments and managing the front desk. While her work is "behind the scenes" she finds it very rewarding to witness the positive outcomes of the individualized care and rehabilitation offered at Core Objectives. In her days off you can find her outdoors either hiking the many trails of the local Los Angeles area mountains or stand up paddling off the Southern California coast. Her greatest pride and joy is her little family.
Tony works with professional and Olympic athletes in Los Angeles area including the National USA Volleyball Teams, both indoor and Beach. He participated on the Medical Support Team for USA Volleyball at the 2012 London Summer Olympics.
He also participated as one of the three massage therapists on the US Olympic Committee’s Medical Support Team in the Athlete’s Village at the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Summer Olympics.
